Il Fondaccio

Il Fondaccio is a home restaurant in the hills above Camaiore, run by Mara and Massimo.

You eat at their home rather than in a restaurant: a table among the stone walls and the garden, with the hills around you.

In high season they are also open for lunch on Saturday and Sunday, which makes a good end to a morning walk.

It is one of those evenings that reminds you why the drive inland is worth making.
